The footsteps of St. Francis still resonate in the places he walked or where he prayed and are immortalized in the numerous religious buildings constructed in memory of his journey.
Southern Umbria is also rich in churches and convents linked to the figure of the Saint of Assisi, bearing witness to his work. Many of these sites are part of the Route of St. Francis, a long itinerary in the footsteps of Francis that leads from La Verna to Rome via Assisi.
The section of this itinerary included in Terni’s territory, which connects the Umbrian route with that of Lazio, is divided into two variants and includes stops in Arrone, Piediluco, Terni and Stroncone.
